Sucrose, in finer or larger grains, white or light brown in color. The word “granulated” refers to semolina, that is, the process by which grains are obtained from the block of raw or refined sugar, which makes the use of this product much easier, especially in the context of its dosage.

Characteristics

Granulated cane sugar can be split into raw sugar or refined sugar. Available in different grain sizes for different purposes. Cane sugar can have different types of ICUMSA (Color);

Types of cane sugar currently available:

  • Fine white cane granulated sugar (granulometry 0.53-0.67 mm)
  • Extrafine white cane sugar (granulometry 0.20-0.45 mm)
  • Light brown cane granulated sugar
  • Dark brown cane granulated sugar
  • Muscovado brown cane sugar

Uses

Granulated sugar has different uses, it is a unique and versatile component for multiple uses in the food industry. It is also used in the agricultural field, leather processing, zootechnical field etc. Obviously, it is also used in the food sector, for example industrial, pastry shops, laboratories, ice cream shops etc.
